I need some guidance on connecting an ATA-2 to a BCM-450 station jack. The port shows up as a 7316e.. Is there somewhere in the Element manager that I can change this?
Thanks

Hi all.. I have installed a fastrad on our modular 8x24 system.. I have used F9** to set it up.. I have installed Norstart manager 3.5 from the Nortel website and have tried an operator assisted connection. I get the following message KSU vairant unsupported by Norstar Manager - Try Using Remote...
Hi RROCK, your last response was that the fiber card was bad.. Was this in fact the case? We are having a similar intermittent problem where the NAM does not always reconnect.. I usually have to let it sit powered OFF for 10-15 minutes before restarting in order to get it to connect.
Thanks
Rob
I have it on a UPS, which is part of my recent experiences actually. The phone system and VM have been running on a 1500 VA UPS for the past 3 years.. The UPS battery warning light came on and so I took the system down to replace the UPS batteries.. Of course, the phone system memory caps had...
Hi all.. We have a vm4.0 connected to a Modular 8x24 dr5 phone system. I have found that if we power off the vm machine and then bring it back up, there is a good chance that it will not connect to the phone system.. Often, it requires having the vm off for 10-15 minutes before it will connect...
Hi all.. We have a Modular DR5 that about every six months does a random restart.. Could happen at anytime, system doesn't seem extraordinarily busy, system is on APC ups at 30% load. I put it on the ups trying to prevent this issue but still does it..
Any thoughts?
Rob
Ah, but one must have the hardware to do this.. Our system does not.. As it happens, I have found that I could get dialtone if I create a external transfer in the CCR tree to pool 10 and with the phone number set to "#". No COS protection but it does work..

Is it possible to setup the outbound transfer on a Norstar Voicemail 4 to give the caller dialtone which they can then dial the number themselves..
Usually, outbound transfer is used to direct the caller to your cell or home phone number from within your voicemail menu.
Thanks
