    Export to csv summing fields

Hi, before I go completely out of my mind I am hoping someone has come across this before and hopefully has a solution. Although just knowing I am not alone and not seeing things would be a biog help! I am using crystal XI reporting on a SQl 2005 database. The report is relatively...

    Sum groups without grouping

HI, thanks for the quick response, i tried a cross tab, but none of the calculated fields are avaiable to add to the crosstab. I am a little hazy on where to go next. Do I have to create a variable for each field to make them avaliable - not entirely sure how to go about it. Each of the...

    Sum groups without grouping

Hi, Can anyone help with this: I have a report looking at hours worked to calcuate pay (so quite important to get right). Rates are paid at one level for the first 37 hours, and a different rate thereafter. I have a report which calculates per person these figures. However I then need to sum...

Asking for logon information which doesn't exist.

makes a lot of sense, which makes a nice change. I thank you

Asking for logon information which doesn't exist.

Could you clarify for me then - what is the local system account it defaults to - I assumed this was the account I was logging on with - which has admin rights, hence my confusion. You obviously have a good understaning of this and it will help me pass this knowledge ono others here. Much...

Asking for logon information which doesn't exist.

Ha ha! I had tried this and got a "cannot restart logon incorrect" error. but I persevered on your advice - and it turns out I need to add the domain to the logon name, and you have to press apply AND ok, otherwie it doesn't save! Thanks for the reply, all now well. CB

Asking for logon information which doesn't exist.

Hi, I hope someone can help, I know a number of people have reported similar issues but I have not found a solution. I am using Crystal reports 10 and enterprise v10 over XP. I have a report which is linked to 2 databases - a SQL database with logon information which I have saved in...

    printing from adobe reader 8

Hi Skip, thanks for the reply yes I can adjust these settings and have tried this, I can get the whole thing to print but it is too small to read once it fits, and it looks very poor as the art work is designed to fit edge to edge. It printed fine like this as a test run before it was...

    printing from adobe reader 8

Hi, I am trying to print a document from adobe reader 8 but I am losing the bottom few lines of the documnet. In the print dialog box I have noticed this error only occurs where the document size is larger than the paper size (as displayed under the preview image). Does anyone know if this is...

Word Merge field Formula - use of Right

Hi, I have ad a good look around and as I can't find anything about this I assume it can't be done - but I live in hope. I currently have the following statment: {If{Mergefield "PE"}="M11" "monday" {If Mergefield "PE"}="M12" "tuesday" If{Mergefield "PE"}="M13 "wednesday" {If{Mergefield...

    filter for "leftover" values

No, I checked that and it was definitely null, if I trasnfer the criteria into a field expression it retuns true for field being null - I just can't find a way of using that. It works with the additioanl code table so I guess it will do. Just frustrating when logic seems to fail. Thanks for...

    filter for "leftover" values

Thanks for the reply again, I cheated in the end - I created a linked table applying a code to each type - then anything other just filters on code O, not clever but it worked and I had to get the report out. Now the pressure is off I will look at your last suggestion - but I would love to...

    filter for "leftover" values

Hi Randy, thanks but that doesn't work either. Testing with NOT IN ("A","B","C") again works perfectly but using the whole thing returns nothing, I have tested the text box on the unbound form and it is definitely null when it should be. Both these solutions should work I'm sure. I'm at my...

    filter for "leftover" values

Hi Golom, thanks for the quick response, what you say makes perfect sense, especially when I took the time to look at the SQL - but I have tried the following and I still get nothing returned, here it is in full...

    filter for "leftover" values

Hi, I have a form used to generate query output. The user selects criteria in a simple combobox on the form. It all works apart form the "other" selection. I have a list of types of work - and one needs to be other - when selected I want the query to show everything "leftover". To make this...

    understanding dim declarations

Hi, I apologise in advance for this, but I am trying to learn VBA - rather than cutting and pasting as I have done for so long. I am trying to understand why i need to declare a reference to a form. For example I have some code which looks at information entered on a form, and runs two...

Calculate week Number from a 4 week cycle

Thanks for the replies - Skip I can't use the day as day 1 to 7 isn't necessarily in the first week - Week 1 in January starts on the 2nd for instance. PH I was thinking of using INT or Mod but had a mental block - as you pushed in the right direction I have come up with the solution -...
