Hey i just had the same problem with the client not being able to map the network drive. did you check if both client for ms networks and file and printer sharing is checked? other then that you did all what i tried and i got mine working let me know if that dosnt work Justin

stiles123: thanks for your help as now the vpn is now working im reading up more on the virutal adapter but once we enabled that and clicked client for ms networks + file and printer sharing it worked fine! Thanks again Regards, Justin

If that dosnt work you have to edit the Configuration Register to tell it to boot into flash. that # can be found on cisco's website, but it depends on what IOS you have (if im correct). Justin

usually they are like http://192.168.*.* (some common ones are 192.168.2.1, 192.168.0.1,192.168.1.1) try those. if that dosnt work id check your documentation on that one the ip address should be in there.

stiles123: Thanks for the info, i have now tried MUVPN 6.1 and 6.11 and i just tried it again and im still not able to map my network printer. i tried using prefered for the virtual adapter mode and i get another connection (10.4 mbps) and the strange thing is that i can open internet explorer...

i had the same problem, and the funny thing was the Client for MS networks was unchecked in the DUN. checked it..rebooted..worked fine. hope that helps.

hey yah i have created the user rights on the box and given them full control on the printer. its really strange because it is right there...but im pritty sure dns is working tho cuz i can type in the name of the computer and it resolves the ip address.....so im not sure any other suggestions?

yah ive double checked it and also changed the printer share name and he sees it change on his end but when he tries to connect to it by right clicking on it and connect it gives that error so there could be no typeing error as its all done in windows explorer
