Check the Oracle documentation, I believe Oracle 9i Database Server needs Windows 2000 Server, not Proffesional. You can check this in the installation guide, in the system requirements section.

I agree, Access is an awful front end. But it works if you use odbc, and link the Oracle 9i tables from Access. I would recommend that you consider choosing some other and more powerful front end. Try Oracle Forms or Visual Basic. tigreeuropeo

You say you were trying to upload a 'flat file' with sql loader. Be careful with decimal numbers, if they are in text format (like 1234.56) you have to use DECIMAL EXTERNAL. Hope this works for you.
