I am trying to mimic state forms in Crystal and having problem line-up the text items to the original form. My text items are either a pixel or two (higher, lower, to the right, or to the left) than the text items on the original form. Is there a pixel control option available in Crystal? If...
First thing I would do is look at the transaction date to ensure that it is not null or blank and <= 03/31/02 and the invoice amt > 0. Do this for a few records that you are expected to see on the report. You might have done this but I didn't see you mention it in the message.
Chris,
Thank you for the info. I am awared of that function. What I was hoping was able to see the font size for different section on the form something similar to Microsoft Word where you click on a word and it tell you the font size and style. I guess this is not possible. Again, thank you...
Ido,
Thank you for a quick respond. How do I save PDF form as a bitmap file? I open the form in Acrobat reader then click File - Save A Copy. The only file format available is Adobe PDF Files{.pdf*}. I change the file extension to .bmp and try to insert this file into the page header but...
I have documents in PDF format. I used Acrobat reader to view these documents. Where and how can I find what font size and style that were used for each section in the document? I am in the process of recreating these documents in Crystal report and have a difficult time to determine the font...
I trying to mimic states form Employer's First Report of Accidental Injury or Occupational Illness in Crystal. The requirement is to make it identical to the official form. I have fifty forms to create. Each state has its own design so the process is very tedious. Has anyone work on...

How do I open the DSN in VFP?
Thanks
Dave,
I don't think the problem is on the server. I have asked my co-workers create a DSN that use Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver on their machine and pointed to the DB on the server. They were able to do so and connect Crystal to the DB via the DSN without problem. The error only occur on my...
Jon,
I did as you suggested. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Crystal report. In addition, I removed the existing VFPODBC.DLL from my machine, downloaded a new version from MSN site and installed it. I still get the same error message. I hope I don't have to reload my machine. Please...
Jon,
Thank you for a quick respond.
1. The DB is resided on the server
2. I already unchecked the "Fetch Data in the Background
3. The VFP ODBC Driver version is V6.01.8629.01
As I mentioned in the message, I was able to use this driver up until yesterday. I don't know what went wrong...
I'm using CR8.5 connect to a Visual FoxPro DB via Visual FoxPro Driver. The DSN is working fine up until yesterday. When I open Crystal Designer, then select the DSN that is pointed to the VFP db, I receive this error message: "ODBC error: [Microsoft] [ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver] Cannot...
What if you create two formulas?
example:
1st formula:
If CONTACT.CLASS in ['a','b','c'] then
CONTACT.CLASS
2nd formula:
If CONTACT.CLASS in ['x','y','z'] then
CONTACT.CLASS
place the formulas side by side in the detail section. Just an idea...
We purchase CR8.5 Developer edition and it came with Crystal Enterprise 8, which included five concurrent access licenses. I guess as long as you don't have more than five users running/viewing the report at the same time, than you should be ok.
Wow...That's a huge DB. Well, there is a tool out there call ERStudio from Embarcadero Technology. You can use this tool to perform a revert-engineering process on your DB. It will create an ERD with the relationships that are defined in the database. You can download a trial version from...
Andrew,
Here is what I discover: If I write the following statements, everything seem to work fine (case-insensitive)
If {?Employer Name} = '*' then
{Employer.Name} like {?Employer Name}
Else
{Employer.Name} = {?Employer Name}
I can enter * for all employers, one or more employers regardless...
