Hi,
I agree with dan, I also use ISA in conjunction with a hardware firewall and have found it to be a bit quirky but good overall. Its easy to manage internet access on a large scale and the enterprise policy becomes very useful when dealing with multiple sites.
However I'm also not sure if I...
Hi,
Who is the rule restricted too? and what kind of clients are you running, secure NAT, Firewall or proxy?
Try setting up a protocol rule denying everyone access to the Kazza ports.

Netuse.
On select few of my servers, some W2k and some NT4 I get registry entries declaring old DAT files however when checking the actual file from the Groupshield/Netshield console the latest version is listed.
Any ideas why this would be and how I can sort it?
Thanks

As far as I have found the addresss set is the only way to do it. Although you could make an address set of just one IP address and set a Deny rule based on that set name. Its a bit of a pain though and you could end up with tons of destination sets.
Has anyone come across this before? My DAT version as recorded in the registry is much older than the DAT version displayed on the Version tab of Groups Shield properties. Which one is right?
Thanks for your help.
I have to check DAT updates on a massive group of servers.
I am looking for a command line tool that will retrieve the DAT version currently installed so that I can use a script to do the whole lot. Any ideas?
