Is it a requirement to have 2 NIC for ISA server sharing Internet access with 16 Workstation. In what configuration the Cable and the Hub should be setup.

Ist NIC from Server to Hub
from Hub to Router
from Router to ADSL Modem ( Public NIC)

2nD NIC from Server (PRIVATE NIC)
where to connect all the workstation etc.

Could Someone guide me how should the Second NIC be connected.

Hi there,
Although the standard way to set up you ISA server is nic 1 into your hub and nic 2 to your internet connection, I have found that when using it as a proxy it works very happily on just 1 nic. However if you intend to use it as a firewall as well then 2 seperate cards set up the standard way is recommended.

hope this helps

Netuse.
