Hi,
I'm trying to add a new web site to a server VIA IIS 5 on Win 2K. When it asks me which IP address to assign to the web site, it allows only me to select the actual IP address of the card, not any extra IP addresses I might have assigned to the server.
Does anybody know why this doesn't...
Hi,
Does anybody know how I can import a CSV file into some user defined fields inside a contacts folder? It would appear that Outlook 2000 (On W2K) will not let me load into user defined fields. If anybody has any utilities they could send me a link to or any advice of how to get around...
Are you using any kind of DNS? Sounds like your not. In the hosts file are your servers reffered to as servername.com or just servername? If it's just the servername you can put an alias in the hosts if you wish...
194.130.5.28 SERVER SERVER.co.uk SERVER.com
And all three aliases will...
Hi Russz,
/var/adm/sw is usually the default depot though I'm not sure it makes a difference where you put the files. You will probably find that you can untar the .depot file and it will create a series of depot directories. I think you can untar to any directory but I usually untar to...
Hi,
I have set up samba on a linux machine running mandrake 8.1 and everything seems fine. The machine is on net 194.130.5.X, if I connect from the same netmask, all is ok. If I connect from another netmask I cannot connect to samba, it doesn't even ask me for a password, how can I get...
Raptor:
If you boot off the install cd and type "vmlinuz <partition you installed onto>" it should detect your linux install and boot up, this command may have changed but when you boot off the linux CD it should give you the command. Once you are in, install lilo on your /dev/hda...
Hi,
I have a problem which causes users to get an OLE Registration error when they try to download custom forms. If I give the users local admin permissions the problem doesn't exist anymore. Is there a way I can get round this without having to give them local admin permissions??
Thanks,
Mark
Yes, I think it has more functionality that is normally only open to the super users but you can donwload more shells from:
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/cgi-bin/search
But it doesn't have the one you were using before. Try contacting HP for that or look for someone on here with HP 10.XX who...
We posted at the same time!
You could just set them to use the same as root for the time being or you could go to the HP web site and look for a download.
Root doesn't use this though I think? I think root uses /sbin/sh in HP-UX.
Try running /usr/bin/sh and seeing if you can find it. It sounds like it's not there or it's not set to be executeable.
Hi,
I just read the links below (which I should have done first!!!) and they answered my question, it was permissions, scheduling as Local Admin and not SYSTEM did the job.
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a script I have written to trash and reload a database. When it is run manually it works fine,
if I schedule it to be run within AT the script runs partially then hangs. It stops at a line where it will copy a 1.4gb file from a mapped drive onto it's own hard drive, it doesn't...
Hi,
I'm looking for a tool which will tell me what users have been going to what URL's and when. Looking at the access.log it seems to report on any access to the site and all objects retrieved from it. I just want the general information about where the user is going. is there a tool to do...
Hi,
I'd like to write a script to create passwords from a list I have (against username) and insert them into a passwd file (to be used for squid). How would I do this? All I can find so far is the C crypt function, but I'd rather just write a script than use C, any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi,
I'm trying to do some LDAP coding through VB6 and I don't seem to be getting anywhere.
I'm trying to get a list of recipients from an active directory. I'm using the following code to get to grips with the idea and I don't seem to be able to get it to work:
Dim RecipObj As IADs
