Data Access Page DAP won't connect to dB on web server

Help Anybody, I've deployed my DAP and dB on the web server where I have ASP pages running on the same dB without any problems. Whenever I try opening the DAP though, I get an Internet Server Error message. I've removed the absolute path from the DAP and set useRemoteProvider to True, set...

Data Access Page DAP won't connect to dB on web server

I've tried everything - changing the connection strings, lowering security levels on the browser, but to no avail. The dB and DAP are in the same folder where I have ASP pages running without a problem. When I try and open the DAP an error message "Internet Server Error" appears. Any...

Data Access Page DAP won't connect to dB on web server

    IT Jobs ????

CajunCenturion's argument about things reaching an equilibrium and IT jobs coming back is interesting. Following that line of reason, American textile workers should be going back to work anytime soon. Of course, I may be comparing apples to oranges, but I think the global economic village...

    IT Jobs ????

I guess this could be a weeding out process. The IT industry has become saturated, since the goldrush, with lots of graduates from various schools, some good some bad, and now that times are tough the law of survival has come into play. I believe those that are determined and keep their skills...

    IT Jobs ????

Are the jobs coming back? There doesn't seem to be much demand for IT workers, except for senior level stuff. At least in Ottawa, Canada. I managed to land a government job doing web development, after graduation, but I think that I'll be stuck here for some time. The security is great, the...

Computer Science Diploma IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

It's nice to hear from an American, Mike. I agree with your post - After my studies, I completed a five-month government work experience program converting dry government documents into HTML pages. It was really boring, but I needed the experience. That lead me to a long term, possibly...

Computer Science Diploma IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

Saskatoon uh, the last time I drove through that area some Amish looking people helped me get my very small car out of a very large ditch. It's hard to imagine that Saskatoon has moved into the IT spotlight. What kind of IT development takes place there Crystal? I agree with you regarding the...

Computer Science Diploma IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

Do you work in Québec garwain? I'm working in Ottawa - Silicon North. The federal government has picked up a lot of IT people since the meltdown and I think they are still hiring. The Ottawa IT situation is still pretty good with 60-70 thousand working in the private sector and quite a few...

Computer Science Diploma IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

I studied over a four year period for a College Computer Science Diploma. Like most of my fellow students, I believed that upon graduation, I would land a six-figure salary job and be driving a Porsche with Sandra Bullock by my side. Reality check - after graduation and sending out some 200...

Thanks tleish, it all works fine except for the year, which keeps showing 102 rather than 2002. Marc

How can I get Now() to use the client date/time - NOT SERVER?

That should read as Functions. Does this web site allow editing of threads?

How can I get Now() to use the client date/time - NOT SERVER?

Ok, I guess I have to use Javascript, because it processes on the client and not the server. However, Javascript doesn't seem to have comparable Dateformat, Timeformat and Now fuctions. Any suggestions? Marc
