I have a user that has one calendar entry that has been a problem since the DTS fiasco. This calendar entry shows the correct time in her Outlook client, but is one hour early in OWA and one her cell phone, because she is syncing directly with the Exchange server. This is a recurring...
I figured out the problem. After reading a post on TechNet it appears that our remote control software is not properly displaying the video from the client. The button functions, but we can't see it on the remote session. We I went to the client machine it was working as expected.
I have installed Office 2007 on one of our client machines and when you click the Office button in any application (Word, Excel, Access) nothing happens. I did a repair on the install and when that did not work I actually uninstalled and reinstalled Office wqith no luck. Has anyone else seen...
It's very interesting that Crystal is talking about this great new feature, "Export to RTF", when the export to MS Word worked in version 8.5 without the frames. I have been complaining to Crystal from the day I installed v9.0, and have made the decision to go with SQL Reporting Services based...
SalvatoreF,
I have tried this. Crystal 9 uses a different set of dlls than previous versions to handle exporting. I have taken the version 8.5 dll that worked just fine and changed the name to the version 9 name. It just causes Crystal 9 to crash.
Another thing to watch out for in moving up from version 8.5 is the export formats. If you have users that export reports to MS Word or MS Excel they probably will be disappointed with the new formats. For instance the export to MS Word used to give you a standard Word document. Now all the...
Crystal has changed the export formats in version 9. I have a similar problem with both MS Word and MS Excel.
When we were using v 8.5 the export to Word would create and editable Word document. Now everything is exported to text frames and editing the document is not easy for the end...
I am using the FQN of the server on the internet, but we want to keep the forms based authentication.
We wound up taking out a tech support incident with Microsoft and here is the answer that actually got up up and running.
There are 2 workarounds
1. Use a Front End
2. Create a second...
We have just recently installed Exchange Server 2003 Standard edition. We have sucessfully configured OWA and OMA, and they work beautifully. The problem I am having is with ActiveSync Server. When I try to connect internally through the cradle I get an HTTP_404 error. Externally I get...
If you allow anonymous access to your intranet site this variable will not be set. You have to uncheck Anonymous Access in the IIS Directory Security tab.
Hope this helps,
George
Tony,
What do you mean they have opened up access to other users? I use NTFS permissions to protect my intranet pages. Now if a member of management logs on and walks away from his PC to allow someone else to use it, I can see that happening. But if he protects his logon ID and locks his PC...
If you do not allow anonymous access to your web site (You have to set the directory security in IIS) a server variable is set to the network domain/userid. You can use the following syntax to test and see if the variable is being set...
I was having the same problem until today. If you are using an older version of the rptserver.asp file you will get the above errors. I have downloaded and installed the rptserver.asp for version 8.5 and it works like a champ. Go to
