    No virus found but PC keeps restarting!

    Try this-it worked for me. Go to START, RUN, type msconfig. Click the ADVANCED tab then click TURNOFF FAST SHUTDOWN. You will know immediately if it worked when you shut down your computer. I am running 98SE on that computer.

    Computer won't shut down

    I had the same problem, and turning off "fast shutdown" was the cure. Go to START RUN then type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks). Click on the advanced tab, and you will find the "fast shutdown" box. If that is already checked, then you need to go to a longer solution.
