    windows2000 and visionfs

Arizonasco Thanks for your reply. I'm now fairly certain the problem is with the fax software that comes with windows2000. I downloaded activefax and this worked a treat, unfortunatley it's 500 dollars to buy as it's a true multi-user fax server, so I'm now looking at winfaxpro to see if that...

    windows2000 and visionfs

Hi, I have a windows2000 prof pc with Office2000, a sco server running 5.0.6 (with latest patches) and visionfs 3.1 (with latest patches). Word documents are saved to a share on the sco server. Everthing works fine except the pc has a fax modem in it and when a document is retrived from the...

    sco installation

Suggest you look in/buy the media pack. This has documented installation instructions in it. Your likely problem areas will be with boot-time loadable drivers - some compaq's need these depending on the configuration of the server(i.e SCSI cards installed etc, otherwise it's quite simple to install.

    monitoring email

Rinja, This would depend on how you have configured sendmail to send outgoing e-mail. all outgoing mail is stored in a directory on your server before it gets to the outside world. If you have configured sendmail to 'delay' sending e-mail then you could look at it beforehand. if you want to...

    Sendmail setup

I haven't used AIX, but if you look at www.sco.com/ta and do a search for sendmail and DNS, you will find an article on how to do it on SCO UNIX which might help.

what pc clients would you recommend with sendmail?

okay, I've got my Unix (SCO) system configured with sendmail and my pc's come with Outlook and/or Windows Messaging. I can configure these to use Internet mail and connect with pop3/SMTP to my Unix system and it works! But is this the best way to do it? What do other people use at the client...

directory that cannot be deleted due to inode

Had a system crash the other day which fsck kindly fixed for me (or so I thought). What started it was an unrecoverable write error. We decided to shutdown and run an fsck. This found a read error and offered to salvage it. The messages was cannot read block 641322, i=41219 owner=bin...
