Let me clarify the VPN answer for you. It is a separate Network Card = a private network with it's own IP address (100Megabit). No encryption is occurring. Sorry. Didn't mean to mislead. All the servers are in the same location (same server room). -

We have load balanced our users by splitting them across 3 clustered mail servers. There is a private VPN connection between them specifically used for cluster replication. We have approximately 1500 users though. -

Cursor disappears
This doesn't sound like a Notes issue. Does this happen on other workstations as well, or just the one? If the latter, reinstall the Notes Client. -
mail will not send to local groups
Each time I've had an end user run into this problem it's been due to a replica of the Notes Client Names.nsf being located within the Notes\Data directory of hard drive. It doesn't necessarily have to have the same filename, but if it's a replica, it's going to cause havoc in addressing... -
