Has anyone run into a problem with clustered Domino Servers (R5.011) going into busy states? Since we moved from V4.65 to R5, we have had nothing but trouble with server performance issues (slow downs &/or still up and running, but not accessible to users). It appears that when one of the servers stops responding and failover occurs for end users, that the extra burden of users causes busy states on the other servers within cluster. Yes, we do have parameters to balance load users as well as server sessions in the ini's. The problem also seems to have gotten worse since we moved from NT4.0 w/SP5 to W2K w/SP2. Any suggestions????

Clustered Domino Svrs & Failover

We are running clustered services on two Domino boxes for approx. 400 users. The load balancing is handled via splitting our users in half so that both servers are equally utilized.
When a fail-over occurs, both servers have enough juice to handle all our users. We also have isolated the cluster replication to a PRIVATE LAN on a gigbit backbone.
Do you have a seperate backbone for clutered replication? This is the way to go...

Let me clarify the VPN answer for you. It is a separate Network Card = a private network with it's own IP address (100Megabit). No encryption is occurring. Sorry. Didn't mean to mislead. All the servers are in the same location (same server room).
Sorry for the delay T, can you copy and paste the contents of your Servers Notes.ini. XX out the sensitive data like public IP and domain info.
