I have to introduce a fourth line to a Partner phone system. I set this system up 10 years ago, and finding my notes is near impossible.
I don't think they are using an Auto Attendant at least not normally during business hours, as someone always answers when I call. It seems that all phones...
UPDATE: I did receive the backdoor password, which didn't work remotely (and was a relief that it didn't as it would be a huge security hole). It did work onsite, and I was able to get things straightened up to return to working. I didn't default the voicemail, as I will probably wait for...
Unfortunately that is something my research was leading me towards. Is this something I can contact you about? I see your contact information, on the website link in your signature.
I thought that may be a possibility when this happened the first time. Unlikely that person would know other extensions passwords. Or the admin password. Just to be sure, after the first issue, I reset the admin password, while I was on the VM system resetting another subscriber password...
One of the non-profits under my care has a ACS 308R4 with a Large Voice Messaging PC Card that is having a problem with the VM Module. Started in April, after an employee left the organization (not amicably). Shortly after a new employee started, I was notified that the new employee couldn't...
Well I am not that much of a novice... :) I have managed two other Partner setups in the past, but this would be the first one that may actually make use of some "advanced to me" features. I imagine I could slog through it, but before I even attempt to I am hoping to find out I am right in my...
I have a customer that I am replacing an old Panasonic switch with a new Avaya Partner 509 R7 processor. I have a Large Mailbox VM PC Card R-3.0.
This client used the old Panasonic as a key-system in that the inbound calls rang at all extensions. The old system was without voice mail as well...
Okay, I am out at the non-profits site and here's an update.
1. I informed them that with their current VMS that only line 10 can receive the Operator calls. Still haven't heard yet how they want me to handle it, but I consider this question closed.
2. Sure enough I didn't have line 3 in...
I appreciate the thought 392. http://www.donkainc.org is their web page. It is a non-profit that teaches computers & adaptive technology to the disabled in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Also we have more recently embarked on placing students into jobs, which explains the growth on the...
Thanks for the replies.
Part of the reason I would rather not swap the extensions is that the person that has 10 now is the Executive Director. Undoubtedly they have a bunch of paper goods with the extension printed on it. But I will double-check their preference.
I'll be visiting them this...
I have a non-profit that I am on their Board of Directors, that I am trying to do some work for that has an Avaya Partner 308 ACS R4 with the PC Card style of VM. I am not sure what revision the VM is but both components were bought new about 4-5 years ago.
At the time we got some volunteers...
Thanks Tommy. That sloved my most glaring problem. Now I have to program the handsets and I should be complete with this project. I just knew it was going to be something simple to make it work right.
Thanks for responding Tommy. I'll print out your advice and give it a try today.
I believe I have #506 done already.
Also #310.
But I am not sure about #206. Can't remember what I programmed there... Probably not the hunt group 7. So hopefully that is what I am short.
One other quick...
I am so confused setting up a new partner 308 with pc card vms 2 port - 8 mailbox. I currently have the all phones ringing when a phone call rolls in as desired. Plus phone calls can be transferred to an extension where voice mail will kick in if it isn't answered and only 6 of the 8 mailboxes...
