Thank you both for the suggestions. I tried both ideas. Doing a system tune up didn't work, however, copying the spreadsheet and pasting it to a new spreadsheet did the trick.

One of the user in my accounting department is having trouble opening up one excel spreadsheet shared by the rest of the department. It takes a few minutes before it opens.
