    Try to turn on auditing.. Is auditing of logon/logoff events is turned on, events will be written in the eventlog. The message in the eventlog consists of a username and a computername. If the server only has remote logons through terminal server, then this will be a solution. This doesn't work...

    Yuo should definitely turn on auditing. You know how, i assume. What you als can do is simply secure files and exclude them from possible deletion, by simply setting the security settings.

    MRxSmb error is filling up event log

    My problem was veritas backup-exec (ver 9.0 or 8.6). After i removed it and rebooted the error disappeared.

    I was having the same troubles to. I also wasn't able to determine to cause of this error. Then finaly, after i removed Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 and rebooted the errorlog was looking empty as it was before.. No more MRXsmb! Problem solved.
