Crystal 8.5 - Distributed Report - No Option to Export to PDF

I found the .dll and have re-distributed the report. The Export option: Acrobat Format (PDF) now appears in the drop-down menu; however, when I select it and click on OK after the page range window, then it doesn't do anything. It should bring up the window to "Choose Export File" but it...

Crystal 8.5 - Distributed Report - No Option to Export to PDF

We are still using Crystal Reports 8.5. I'm having a problem when setting up brand new PCs with a Distributed Crystal Report. The Export Option "Acrobat Format (PDF)" is no longer in the drop-down list. It has always been there before when I distributed reports to existing PCs (older ones). I...

Exporting Fixed Width Text File in Crystal X

Carol, Yes, I just leave the filler out if the fields need to butt up against one another. Another thing I had to do, if the fields have the possibility of being null, then I made sure it prints spaces the length of that field, otherwise this will shift columns when you don't want them to...

Exporting to Text File using Crystal 8.5

Thanks, I just ran across a 3/18/09 posting that mentioned a hotfix for this issue. Well...my U2Ftext.dll is OLD 2/3/2001, so I guess that's my problem. Thanks for your response.

Exporting to Text File using Crystal 8.5

I've tried the no printer option and it didn't make a difference. As for setting the 'dpi' to 16, our printers don't have this option, we have 600 dpi.

Exporting to Text File using Crystal 8.5

When I export data to a .txt file, I get a leading space on each line. However, if I export it to .rtf and then save it to a .txt file, then the space is not there. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you get rid of the space? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! Tracy

Exporting Fixed Width Text File in Crystal X

Carol, I know this response is a little late... What I did is created a formula called Filler1 with " " (one space) as the formula. Then within the giant field formula, I inserted the Filler1 formula between each of the fields. This worked for me. Tracy

Export to Text File inserts a Leading Space

In Crystal 8.5, I'm exporting data to a text file. When I do this, there's an extract space at the beginning of each line. What causes this?

Printing Postcards, 2-sided, 4 per page

Dear Clearmax2000, I used Crystal to create the records to be exported to Excel. I set it up printing 4 records per line: A, B, C, D. Then I merged the Excel file with the Word Mail Merge by setting up the document as two pages for one record (doing a next page at the end of the second...

Printing Postcards, 2-sided, 4 per page

To do it in Crystal, how do I do this (I have not done this before)? My boss suggested stringing 4 donor records on one line to make it 1 record (i.e. Donor1, Donor2, Donor3, Donor4 - of course each donor will have multiple columns). Then I can merge it in WORD with page one being the name...

Printing Postcards, 2-sided, 4 per page

The problem with doing it one side at a time, is the information is flip-flopped on the back side. For example: First side prints (4 separate postcards): Donor 1 Donor 2 Donor 3 Donor 4 When the paper is flipped over, it needs to print opposite in order to correspond to the other side...

Printing Postcards, 2-sided, 4 per page

I need to print appointment reminder postcards (4 perforated 4.25 x 5.5 cards per page) with the name and address on one side, and the corresponding appointment information on the other. I have the data in an Excel file and used the mail merge in WORD. However, I'm having problems getting the...

Printing Postcards, 2-sided, 4 per page

I need to print out appointment reminder postcards (4 perforated 4.25 x 5.5 cards per page) with the name and address on one side, and their corresponding appointment information on the other. I'm not sure how to do this in Crystal, so I exported a file to Excel and used the mail merge in WORD...
