In the eKnowledgebase on Legato's website. I found some info on the problem I am having and that is one of the fix's. Maybe I need to go back and re-check! :-)
Thanks
Thank you for the Help - I appreciate it!
We seamed to have fixed that! I am not sure what happened!
Another quick question! Does anyone know where to find the latest patches? We need the latest patch for our Exchange module and I cant find it on ftp.legato.com?
It is 3.1.0.80 I think?

How many drives did you get? If it is a new DL380 then it has the 5i RAID controller. if you have enough drives you could mirror your system drive on 2 drives and then use another three drives for a RAID 5 data drive.
Running NetWorker server 6.2 on Win2K attached to a SAN with a Compaq MSL5052 SDLT Tape Library. (also attached to the SAN) We labled about 15 Tapes and then started our backups. In the morning it showed all the tapes were full? One tape had 198GB, but the rest were anywhere from 21MB to 400 -...

I thought that RAID 10 was 0+1 ?
You mirror the drives then put them in a stripe for speed?
So then the total would be a min of 4 disks?
I could be wrong - that is just the way I understood it!
I believe that all of the HP/Compaq SmartArray RAID cards support it!
What OS?
If it is Tru64 Unix the secure path is built in to the OS. If it is Windows or HP-UX or Linux etc. you have to have Secure Path to have dual paths -

Notice!

I select the drive then the mount button on the speed menu - then I get a box with the tapes listed -...
I noticed that the devices (drives) reside in the /dev/ntape directory - I wonder if they should be in the /dev/tape. ntape stands for no rewind - does anybody know if this could be a problem?
-thanks
Chapter 11 Thank you for the response!
I tried those commands and it resets and inventories the Library - but still the same problem when we try to mount a tape.
Here is the error we get:
Notice!
expected volume 'GHZ354' got '-'
It almost seems to me like it is not writting a lable to the tape...
We have a 52 Tape 4 Drive SDLT Library (Compaq MSL5052). Running Legato Networker 6.1.3 on Tru64 - Library is attached to a SAN. When I try to lable a tape through the GUI it goes through the process then says labling complete (we have barcodes). Then when I try to mount the tape it says...
