Logitech iTouch causes PC to hang

Running Logitech's iTouch s/w on win98 cause the PC to hang at shutdown... and the s/w will not unload itself politely at all after its first run, but will always do so after the second run. I have... 1. TOTALLY removed iTouch from the system (I checked in the Registry to be certain!) 2...

    Lotus Smartsuite vs. MS Office

I find WordPro 9.7 far, far easier to use than MSWord 2000, and the control of tables, graphics, and page layout in general is much more like a desktop publisher. Had to use Word because of other people's files, but give me WordPro any day.

using mouse scroll with lotus 123 release 5

Thanks - I solved it differently in the end. On Logitech's Mouse Properties I deselected "Use MS Office compatible scroll only" and now have full scrolling in 123. I don't know what features I am missing becasue of this, but nothing has shown up yet! BTW - Logitech's latest drivers...

using mouse scroll with lotus 123 release 5

But was your mouse an MS one? Mine's Logitech, and I don't have the 123 scroll facility. I CAN install Intellimouse if it will help, but don't want to clutter up the PC if it's unlikeley to resolve the issue. ;-)

I'd like to setup a rule in MS Outlook or maybe I need a software ?

I'm not sure that jpm121 is wholly correct. You could try this approach (which is for OE6 - Outlook 2000 etc would make the rules much more tidy - for instance you could specify "is not in my address book") Rule 1:- Where the "From" line contains people (insert your entire...

    Relaying from OE6?

Thanks... I've spent the morning importing settings, re-cobbling message rules (technical phrase, that is!) and trying to ensure I've got Outlook 2K set up properly. (clicking on Mailto: links was still opening OE6, but I found the fix for that... eventually. Outlook seems to be retaining the...

    Relaying from OE6?

I'm collecting emails from a catch-all account and want to be able to forward (relay?) certain addressees to their personal email addresses. eg:- moststuff@mydomain.org (= keep it on my PC) tom@mydomain.org (= forward it to tom@aol.com) harry@mydomain.org (= forward it to harry@aol.com) I...

OE6 Email rules to block a domain ?

smah, Thanks for your time and suggestions... I've got it sorted now (I think)! Had to go back to square one and take it one step at a time, but it looks like I got there in the end.

OE6 Email rules to block a domain ?

Thanks, I've done my best to ensure the advice on those threads is adhered to. I'm still getting a problem, though. A local school changed their domain to something similar to my own, and now I'm relentlessly bombarded with incorrectly-addressed schoolchild chatter plus the spam from some of...

OE6 Email rules to block a domain ?

I want to use the Rules in OE6 to prevent myself from receiving spam for my domain. At present I receive (anythingatall)@mydomain.org and would like to delete messages where (anythingatall) is not on a list of permitted addressees. Is it possible to specify a domain rather than an address in...

    How does WinRoute Compare?

I had WinRoute Pro set up on W98 PCs. It took a while to get the configuration right, but after that it worked fine. After switching to broadband I stopped using WinRoute because (sad comment, this!) my children wanted to use MS Messenger and I couldn't get it running behind WinRoute's NAT...

NAT for W98 on XP Host on Broadband

Thanks for the comments... I've now given up on the programme. I'm using Kerio's Personal Firewall instead (apparently it uses the same engine), and XP's ICS function. I'm getting the functionality that I require, but confess I'm not sure how much security this provides compared with the...

Word Pro 9.0 vs MS XP

Word Pro 9.0 started developing problems for me, too, and I also had to install Approach 97 rather than Approach 9.0 due to "known incompatabilities" (yes, the older version seems to function under XP) Probably of most interest for UK customers, I was pleased to locate a copy of...

NAT for W98 on XP Host on Broadband

DNS & Gateway were indeed set to the Host's internal NIC IP. Setting WinRoute to function as a proxy server made browsing possible for the 2 client PCs (after setting IE to use a proxy, obviously), although POP3 still did not work. For the time being I've reverted to MS ICS plus Zone Alarm...

NAT for W98 on XP Host on Broadband

I'm struggling to set up WinRoute Pro after having Blueyonder Broadband installed. Host PC is XP Home SP1. Internet & Email (IE6 & OE6) work OK. WinRoute worked fine on XP using RAS via 56K modem. NAT is set up, and no proxy setting at all. DNS is enabled, but NOT specified in DHCP. The 2...

WPro Booklet printing on HP Jaserjet 1100

Word Pro's "print as booklet" option worked fine with my old LJ1100 driver... but now I've updated the driver, this option does not produce a booklet. I'm working with A5 pages, printing double-sided onto A4 to make a leaflet/booklet. But either the pages overlap because it's printed...

    Organizer & Windows Address Book

Is it possible to LINK the "Contacts" section of Organizer 5 with the Windows Address Book... and if so, how? I don't want to import the data, but keep it dynamically linked so that updating data in one automatically updates it in the other. (I'm using Outlook Express 6 for emails...

Smart Center drawers hidden behind open windows

Opening any Smart Centre drawer sees it promptly disappear behind whatever application windows are open.  How can this be rectified? ...it's frustrating having to minimise all windows in order to get at the drawers, and almost defeats the purpose of having them.
