    ok.. i took the drive out and did that scanreg/fix but it still comes up with the message. in setup menu. it has: ide1 not installed not installed cd-rom what do i need to do to correct this. some1 suggested to remove scsi drivers how do i do this?

    Go to add/remove programs and choose IE as if your removing it. It then should come up with another screen that gives you the ability to repair or revert back to the prior version if that doesn't work let me no.

    IE 6 is designed for whidows XP NOT!!! 98 so you should go back to ie 5. if you have been told this SORRY!

    it might not be a virus or trojan. there are some evil programs that people make and dont show up on anti-virus programs. i suggest you take it to your local service shop and get it checked out. LET ME NO HOW IT GOES!

    i installed a cd-rw on windows 98. it worked a few times NOW I CANT START UP MY COMPUTER!!! i can only start up in safe mode and in my computer THE D: ISN'T THERE!!! it is a ARTEC 52x 34X 52X nero express 5.5 PLEASE HELP ME!!!
