Thanks for that Roberto
I should have stated that i had tried running in safe mode, but the problem with the exclamation marks and mixed up characters appears straight after the manufacturers logo during the boot up sequence.
I can start the boot in safe mode, but the problem is already...
Hey folks!
Seem to have run in to a bit of a pickle on this one.
This afternoon i was browsing the web, when a brief error msg appeared (not sure of the exact contents because it only flashed on the screen, but i'm pretty certain it involved something about "drivers") Straight after...
Hey wkng,
I can't remember the exact way that i fixed it, but the problem was with the page footer, not the detail section. Try extending the bottom of the footer as far down as it can go (that is, until you view in print preview and it tells you that the section is too big) and this should get...
Hi folks,
I'm trying to install the admin pack on my pc at work, but the problem is that the latest Beta3 version only applies to XP...not XP service pack 1.
Any ideas??

Hey folks,
I've searched through heaps of responses and tried all the different techniques...but i can't seem to fix my problem; that being that my detail section, although having its height set to 0.6cm, is producing large amounts of white space.
I tried setting the Can Grow/Shrink properties...
Hey folks, this one is causing me some grief. All i'm trying to do is open a recordset, but my code keeps falling over at the sql statement.
This is the relevant part of the code:
Dim strSQL As String
strSQL = "SELECT * FROM Reminder WHERE Reminder.RemDate = Date()"...
Hey folks,
I seem to have run in to a weird problem. I recently discovered that when i run Windows Media Player or the Home Networking Wizard (i'm sure there are other instances, i just haven't encountered them) all the words/letters are replaced by squares :S
The only thing i can think of is...
Hey folks,
I have a feeling that the solution to my problem is rather simple...but i can't seem to figure it out.
I have a form that is used to enter new records in to a table.
On the load of this form, i want to set the value of one particular textbox, to the maximum value contained within a...
Hey LS,
I took your advice about the field names, and i went through and fixed them up...and in the process i reverted to using Long Int's as my primary key rather than RepID's (because they were proving extremely ackward to work with) and alas, with i little bit of tweaking, i can now properly...
Thanks LS, but the RepID contains letters as well?!
Here is the code i am using to create the query...perhaps it will give you a better idea of what's going on.
Dim db As Database
Dim qdef As QueryDef
Dim strSQL As String
Dim strSelectSQL As String
Dim strWhere As String...
Hey folks,
I'm having trouble dealing with the output of Replication ID's. Basically, i'm trying to create a query on the fly, with the "WHERE" clause containing the ID of the current record, and this ID is a Replication ID.
The problem is that when the ID is passed to the SQL...
Hey folks.
A fellow workmate is running Windows 2000 (something with which i am not too familiar) and has asked me if i could disable the windows messaging program, as each time the UPS on the server sends a message broadcasting its status, the message pops up on his screen and he doesn't like...
Thanks for the help folks.
As it turns out, i managed to fix the problem earlier on in the piece (by forcing a new record to overwrite the existing record if the id already exists in the table). But thanks for the help anyway
Cheers
