How is the best way to map a domain printer to a temp user when he's not on your domain? Everytime he logs off and back on it asks for a domain user name and password.

I have a friend's computer that he wants to recover 4 gig of music, but it won't boot. I looked at it and I saw the error "Win/sys32/config/system" ok easy fix so I went into the recovery console and it came up to c:\ so I did a "dir" and nothing was there...invalid path. I went the other route...

The more I think about it. I know which ports to open...It's a group policy or reg. file question. The computers are not on the domain so I can't make a GPO for them, and can't get to them to do a local GPO. I think I'm stuck!

We have Computers in the field that are not on the domain not getting Live Update and we can't communicate with them in the console. The computer's on the domain are fine. Is there a way to fix this w/o going to each computer. I.E. open proper ports, etc... Thanks!
