Arcserve V.11 ports

Does any one know which ports to open through a gateway? We have a Server on a DMZ that needs to be added to a backup?

Check out the PortsConfig.cfg located in the program files\brightstor installation folder. That should tell you what ports the services/agents are using...

I did a search on the backup server and there is not a PortsConfig.cfg ???

HI,

PortsConfig.cfg would be there only if you are at V 11.1
11.0 does not have this file.

However,

these are the basic ports used by Arcserve

Discovery - 41523/41524
Catirpc - 111 (port mapper)
Client Agent - 6050/51 ( configurable)
Database agents - 6070/71

YOu would also need to have 445 to be open.
