Could the application be looking for a drive letter (F:\Applications\FoxProApp\...) that hasn't been defined in the new Windows 7 PC's that is there in the older PC's? I've run into that problem before even though VFP 6 can handle longer server names.
If you have screens that you always want to be modal you could add .T. MODAL in the "On Screen Exit (Valid)" code section of each screen(I'm using FPW 2.6). Then you don't have to click the modal button when you generate the screen. Actually, if you do click the modal button with this code in...
I support a number of FPW 2.6 programs which were designed when monitors were all at 800 X 600. Now, my clients are getting higher resolution monitors which make my application’s screens look smaller and smaller. I’ve been asked about making them bigger, but the time involved in manually...
I think what NRO is trying to do is print an existing .PDF file. I have done this for a client that needed a combination of VFP generated form letters and a corporate form printed with each new contract. The VFP letters contain customer specific information while the corporate form is...
Have you submitted this question to the Amyuni support staff? We have been using the Amyuni Converter Professional version in VFP applications for several years with very good results. When I've had problems, I've found the support staff very helpful, especially when I've shared my code with...
BenAir,
I use Amyuni as well. Though this doesn't relate to using Citrix, you don't happen to have any clients using Amyuni to generate emails through GroupWise instead of Outlook, do you?
Thanks
Bob
Have you tried adding one of the following lines:
KEYBOARD "{ctrl+f10}" && for Visual FoxPro
or
KEYBOARD "{ALT+Z}" && for FPW 2.x
before you do the REPORT FORM REPORT.frx PREVIEW?
Thanks to everyone for their input. It has certainly given me some new ways to think about my future queries. This is one of the great benefits from Tek-Tips, different points of view and experience.
Thanks again,
Bob
Sorry, I'm using VFP 6.0 so I don't think this is going to work. I can still get the results I need by doing a couple of SELECTS, but I just thought the MAX() function would work.
Thanks
Bob
I am trying to run a single SELECT statement pulling data from three tables (PERSONAL, EMPLOYEE, SALARY) to return each employee's name, address, start date, etc. and their most recent salary amount. There will be only one personal and employee record for each employee though they will have...
The main question here was about getting Groupwise to popup the message for review before sending. I can get Outlook to do this, but I'm missing the same thing that JSAMS is asking about when it come to Groupwise. I would think that it is simply a matter of some missing parameter.
In his message (thread1251-1104909) jsams asks about generating an email with an attachment using Groupwise. Anymore thoughts about this question?
jsams wrote the following:
Listed below is a short program to create an email with and attachment in a Novell Groupwise 6.5 environment.
It...
We've got the same problem. Acrobat Reader 6.0 will take 5 minutes to print a single page that version 5.1 only takes a few seconds. Nothing else was changed on our systems. Any more news?
Thanks. I was hoping to be able to send the contents of this file to the printer like the old days when you sent escape codes but it doesn't look like that is going to be possible.
Thanks again for the advice.
I have a file that contains a long list of escape codes and printer codes that produces the image of a tax form on blank paper when copied directly to the printer. I would like to see about sending this to the printer from the top of a FoxPro form so that I can also fill in the data boxes using...
I would like feed name and address info out of FoxPro into MS-Word's LetterWizard to allow a client to automatically start a new letter. I have looked at the MS-Word help where they talk about using the CreateLetterContent method to create a LetterContent object, but this requires filling in...
I just found that the problem is being caused by the CONFIG.FPW file left in the main folder by the old FoxPro 2.6 version of my application. I created and tested a little simple print program which generated the error "File c:\temp\4811000b.tmp" does not exist." I checked the...
