Just upgraded all PCs in office Acrobat 6.0 Standard/Professional. Everyone has noticed a drastic difference in printing speed from Acrobat 5.0 w/ Acrobat Distiller and Acrobat 6.0 w/ Adobe PDF. Is this normal functionality for it to print to PDF slower or is there something I am missing?

We've got the same problem. Acrobat Reader 6.0 will take 5 minutes to print a single page that version 5.1 only takes a few seconds. Nothing else was changed on our systems. Any more news?

Try selecting "print as image" in the Adobe Reader print window that appears when you click on print. If this improves speed, most likely 1) you are using fonts that are not resident in the printers, and 2) the upgrade to 6 made changes that were not accomidated in printers font substitution table of Windows. Tweak your font substitution table (open the printers window, right click on the printer's icon and select setup, font) to reflect the differences.
