I agree with the "stay in your chair" method. I am a big fan of disabling any questionable analogs and waiting for someone to yell - if no one yells then most likely no one is using it!! If they do yell then you can identify the port, name it and move on.
Looking at a Norstar Compact ICS - all lines are set to Auto Hold-NO and Supervision-YES. However, when you are on 1 line and press a second line without hitting release first, it still puts the first line on hold.
Any ideas on what I am missing??
Thanks
Can you set up the Norstar NAM voicemail to automatically play the Time/Date stamp when listening to voice messages rather than having to press 7.
Thanks
My customer has a user that would like to block other internal users from seeing his 4 digit extension number. I have set his entire department up with CLS CNDD and DNDD and that solves the problem there. However there are many other departments who do not want to lose their CNDA and DNDA, but...
OK, if he blocks his number (*67) the CLID shows the main number for the entire business, but I need to display his department's main number. I have the CLID entry for this programmed as follows:
ENTRY 15
HNTN 2XX
ESA_HLCL
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 7XXXXXX
DIDN NO
HLOC
LSC...
I tried that - I built CLID table 15 with the digits I wanted to outpulse and assigned it to the phantom DN, but it still sent the CLID info of the number I called from.
Sorry this is such a mess - Basically he wants to be able to call a number from anywhere and at anytime and be automatically forwarded to the jail. He wants the person at the jail to see his departments main number on their caller id and not the caller id info from the number he is actually...
He doesn't want his phone to forward to this number. He just wants the ability to call in, forward to this external number and send the CLID of his main department. He is a judge and wants to use this "set-up" to call the jail after hours and on weekends and whatnot, but he insists...
I have a customer who has a phantom TN set up in their system to DCFW to an external number. Currently when he makes a call to this phantom DID the calls are forwarded, but they carry his CLID through to the end caller. He would like to send the CLID that is programmed on the phantom TN. Is...
I am not sure right now - this is a fairly new install, less than 4 months old. The equipment was all new. I believe 6.0 on the KSU - I won't be able to get more info until tomorrow.
Here's One! Strange customer set-up, this is an executive suites situation. The clients want their calls to ring to the attendant during the day (and not on their sets) and ring to the sets when in nights. I have given each target line its own ringing group. Each group rings the attendant...
I have a customer with 4 IAO lines. All the lines are set for Full Auto Hold: N, however, if you press a line while talking on a line the system puts the first line on hold. I have to be missing something basic, but for the life of me I can't remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
