    Alex, That is what I need to do. But the program that sends the output to the printer has to send it to a valid AIX print queue or a file. So I need that output to be sent, call the script, manipulate data, then actually send it to its destination. Rick

    seems that the first user that logs in is getting email notifications if a printer fails, etc. Any way to turn off email notification? We use the pine as our email. I'm thinking there is a sco setup somewhere to turn off email notification or have it route to root instead of a user? rcbatlinux

    Hi All, Found the problem. Good ole zone-alarm was blocking the ports on my share. Sorry for the stupidity. Once I set zone alarm up correctly I was able to print to the shared printer fine. Thanks for the input

    Can't cancel a print job without turning it off and disabling.

    I have a Tally printer that when I try to cancel a print job the job simply doesn't cancel. Only thing I can do is to shut the printer off, disable the printer, then I can cancel the print job. It appears to be just the one printer that I have to cancel this way. Any ideas? rcbatlinux
