It is possible that you will have to upgrade the ARCserveIT software agents you use for NT/Notes.
I run ARCserveIT on NT and backup Novell, and after we upgraded, I had to upgrade all of my agents. Just a thought... hope it helps. :-)
1) - Do you have the Open Files Agent installed? It is a separate module, unfortunately. Also just a minute possibility: did these files once exist but are no longer there? The backup could still be looking for them... but look at the Open Files Agent first.

If I understand it correctly, when you convert from 2 to 97, the internal language changes. I've not had much luck "fixing", except by going into the database and manually recreating whatever I needed. Hope someone else out there has better advice!
Sounds like these images are getting saved into a field in one of your tables. You can open the table and see. (You wouldn't see the picture, just the name, I believe.) And I have to agree, I bet they're embedding INTO your database, which may be affecting its size quite a bit, or not too...
