V2i Protector is where we are going. It is an excelent product and a true backup-to-disk software. With V2i protector is easly achivable what you are doing GWINTO. However for those of us that are still using backup to tape, I have created a test environment, with one root domain DC and one sub...
I am trying to create a hot standby exchange server for DR purposes - we have 5.5 on w2k server & AD. The only way that I can think of, is to create a test environment, Restore the current AD on a DC and create an identical name/spec/etc exchange member server and restore the backup of the live...
Sorry, I have been doing a couple of projects.
We don't use logoff scripts, but if you have win2k environment like us, you could set There's a group policy option in Win 2k Server that is titled something like "Don't save cached profiles".
Otherwise, You can create a GPO to run a...
Ditto,
We use roaming profile here and have AD which allows us to remove cached profiles on logoff.
However we are using the above scripts for our NT server to increased security for any hackers trying to retrieve passwords from locally cached profiles.
However the scripts works just as well...
organization would be the top level on the left hand side, e.g PHOENIXLU, the site would be under that e.g UK
The actual names "organaization" and "site" are not on the left hand side of the exch. admin.

Other than that it should be total...
so these are the users that are still active, but you don't want their name to apear in the GAL. right?
If they are active, then hiding their mailbox should still allow them to access mail via OWA. If not active, and you have hidden their mailbox in exchange, and you want them to NOT be able to...
If their account is hiden, then I guess they have left perhaps. In this case their NT account should be disabled and/or deleted. In which case there is no mapping between the account name and thge security ID. Hence they will not be able to access via OWA.
I use Norton Speed Disk, which allows me to schedual a defrag on certain time of the day when the server is not doing much. This way it does not slow the server down...it may take a week on 500 GB, but the users don't complain.
yes it is possible. We have EMC Symm and the facility is available. Although we are not using this option, since it means downtime. But if you are installing a new server it is worth doing so.
no. POP3 is one of the protocols that are by default enabled on site, server and recepients. You could choose to disable at diffrent levels. However you need to create an entry in your DNS so the external users could access or use the public IP directly.
