Good to hear, Pat. I, too, used the /3GB switch on my Standard servers and it didn't do anything, good or bad. However, when I phoned a friend at Microsoft, he said that if there were problems, and MS knew that the switch was in there, they might not support it, or at the very least, give you a...
Great news!
If you did a full backup, NTBackup should flush the logs for you, if not then you should look in to using eseutil. It will give you the correct switches to use in order for you to check your log headers in order to see which ones you can delete.
WARNING***I recommend that you move...
If you are trying to backup at the Exchange server then it's most likely the Admin tools are installed already. If you can open up the Exchange System Manager, then they are there.
To verify that NTBackup can see your Exchange installation, open NTBackup up and look for your Information Store...
Apologies lander215, I mis-read it as wanting to turn off OWA for some users.
My mistake. But if you want to shut it off for some and not others and not have to do it manually, ADModify will do it. It's pretty kewl.

If you download ADModify, it will remove HTTP for you. Check this out;

I have the a similar situation, but I use IHateSPAM from Sunbelt Software. I have not turned on the IMF yet because I cannot answer this question either. I did find this article;

and I asume by reading this that the SCL (SPAM Confidence Level)is applied...
Ummm, I think that Bentley45 is looking for a script to do this auto-magically.
I'm not entirely sure if there is one other than cranking out a VB Script which modifies the AD.
Check out Joe's site;

I agree with 58sniper. OoO to the Net is not a good thing because it broadens your attack plane for spammers. Those jerks can then launch One-Off attacks and when an email is requested to a large block of addresses and a couple of OoO's come back, you know it is a valid email address. And some...
Yes, it can support it, but we have found quite a lot of problems in the Event logs with memory allocation errors and Exchange wanting to take all of your server's memory. The /3GB switch is only to be used with W2K Advanced server, not Standard. We found that after 2GB of RAM very weird errors...
You can use the NTBackup utility on the Exchange box to do the backup b/c the Exchange Admin Utils are loaded. These utils make NTBackup "Exchange Aware", like it's an enlightened being or something.
OR
You can also install the Exchange Admin Utils on another box and use the NTBackup from that...

SS II 9300 12 port GB switch freezes up randomly. Connected are assorted 3 servers, SS II 3000 and SS 3 3300 tx's. In order to get the SS 3 tx's to talk to the 9300, 3Com advised me to disable autoNegotiate on the 9300 end. Worked just fine. Whenever the mood strikes my switch, it will christmas...
