I am experiencing problems retreiving an XML result set via Microsoft's XMLA web service. I believe the problem is with coldfusion because of the nature of the error:

I found a product that works really well. It works in Access/VBA. You can set the filename programitically, merge PDF files. It isn't a VB module, it is a MDE Database. Maybe this company has something for VB.

I am no expert, but I think it could. I was having issues where the pivot tables would not work correctly on certain clients, not exactly the same problem as you, the problem was MDAC versions wern't consistent. This is a long shot, but I'd least take a look.
