    Duplex printing problem

We have recently installed a HP9000 printer and wish to have prints coming out in duplex mode. We are using hppi to configure the printer and have selected duplex = on. (we downloaded the HP9000 model script from HP and have installed the printer using that model) The problem we have is that...

    apache ssl and virtualhost problem

Got mine working too. Found that the variable SSL wasn't being passed through to the <IfDefine SSL> variable in the httpd.conf. Don't know why, but I got rid of the <IfDefine SSL> and the virtual hosts sprang into life. I noticed the lack of SSL using httpd -l for the module list. ::-)

    apache ssl and virtualhost problem

I have exactly the same problem. I've tried using name based and IP based virtual hosts but whenever I restart apache it completely ignores the virtual host settings.. httpd -S is supposed to show any configured virtual hosts, but I'm getting no entries here. I've noticed on the Internet that...

    Log Files not being updated

I've had a look but couldn't find anything obvious. This is the main part of the syslog.conf: *.err;kern.notice;auth.notice /dev/sysmsg *.err;kern.debug;daemon.notice;mail.crit;*.alert /var/adm/messages *.alert;kern.err;daemon.err root *.emerg...

I'm running SunOS5.8. The messages log file (/var/adm/messages) is not being updated with anything. The server is being used as a mailserver and we would like the log file to be updated with general smtp info, i.e. sendmail basic info of messages coming/going. What do I need to do to get the...

CRON not working properly (SunOS 5.8)

Mike, Thanks for the quick reply. I set the EDITOR variable and used crontab -e (I was originally editing the file manually - which has worked fine in the past) and all is fine now!? Thanks for your help.. Mark.

CRON not working properly (SunOS 5.8)

I have some entries in cron which are not being executed correctly. The system is Sun OS 5.8 running on a Sparc Netra T1. It looks like the jobs are being run as they appear in the /var/cron/log file. They are, however, reporting auditing problems. Example below: ! cron audit problem. job...

    Sendmail log file

I have Sendmail 8.11.1 running fairly smoothly on a SunOS5.8 Sparc machine. The only thing that isn't working is the logging of emails. I am getting critical errors logged into the /var/adm/messages file, but nothing else. I have tried various settings for the logfile but with no joy. I wish to...
