hmm.. Ok, is it possible to set something up so regardless of what style you choose, only the patterns are implemented (e.g. all of the font is 12 point black regardless of conditional format, but if you choose Column Title Emboss, the background will turn black as well)?
Is there any way to do it where anyone who cared to open the file would load up my styles (or possibly any changes to the default styles) and it would already be in there.
Why is it when I create a new Style in conditional formatting and then open the file with another computer on the network, the style no longer is there? I am working with Impromptu 6. Thanks.
I recently just applied a template to a report and saved it successfully. Yet, now when I open it and try to save, even when I have made no changes to the report, I get this error message. There is no corruption in the report; it works fine. Is there any way to fix this?
I have reasonably long formula that I need only a few date changes in and I need to repeat this several times. Retyping the whole formula is simply not practical. I know it is possible to cut and paste large amounts of data in Impromptu because I have done it before. I just recently upgraded...
Whenever I try to cut and paste even a moderate amount of information (say from one calculated data field to another), Impromptu generates an error and has to restart. How do I fix this? Thanks.
I cannot post the file, but I would also like to add that the file path for the .csv file is not correct, but the file works fine. It would seem the .csv couldn't possibly be in use.
Nope, nothing from the .csv is being used in the report. The wierd thing is that when I prompt, it doesnt even prompt the items I am trying to delete, and Prompt Manager allows me to remove it, but the changes are not there when I go back into Prompt Manager.
I have several prompts in my report that rely on an external *.csv, but are no longer in use in my report. However, when I remove them in Prompt Manager and click "OK", they are, for some reason, still there the next time I go back into Prompt Manager. What is going on here?
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you could create a calculated column of your lowercase column using the function "ucase". You would have something like "ucase(your lowercase column)". Hope that was helpful.
This is done by suppressing the automatic column headers and replacing them in the report with another calculated report object placed in a header frame." Could someone explain this step a little more thoughoughly. I have no promblems getting the column to display the data I want it to, it is...
Is there some way to have dynamic column titles in Impromptu using Conditional formatting? I have tried using the "Hidden" style, but it is still displayed - there is no data or anything, but the column does not disappear and it still shows on the print preview. Any ideas? Is there another...
Thanks for your help. I have set up the ODBC database (it has the file extension .dsn). However, under the menu item catalog, there is no such option as "Databases". The closest thing I have is "Open", which will only allow me to open files with the extension .cat. Again, I am working in...
How do I use any of the formats I can export as a catalog? It seems I can only use files with a .CAT extension, which is a format I do not think I can directly export to.
