the phones are getting ip address but not able to download tftp file.... as a short term solution we need to manually configure the phones...what are steps to configure phones manually?

thanks.... as far as i know phones try to get ip address upon bootup from dhcp server and wondering if we delete option 176 ....from where the phone get their ip address? please give me more detail....

Thanks for reply... the phones are 9620 and they get their IP address and download setings file but they stuck at "discover xx.xx.xx.xx". they are unable to register to clan. DHCP and tftp are setup correctly. any troubleshooting commands recommended? iknow list trace.. and ping. any other...

we installed new 9620 phones and they are able to get ip address from dhcp server and download settings file from tftp server but unable to get phone configuration from s8720. when we enter extension number to be loaded on to the phone the phone displays 'discover xx.xx.xx.xx and not registering...

New phones are not registering....we have verified addres and access to tftp server and dhcp scope.....we have 2 clans...

Phones are getting stuk into discovery mode and unable to registe to c-lan. any clues for troubleshooting this problem?
