The terminal server is not part of a domain. The users are setup locally and permissions are set locally. Each user does have a unique ID. If a user is part of the power users group would that be the problem?

I am setting up remote monitoring services using some scripts but other then disk space and processor usage I am not sure what services I should be monitoring. What do you feel are the critical services that should be monitored remotely, any information would be helpful.

i'm not sure why so many log files get created but I had a customer that was having problems with log files gobbling up c drive space so I created a batch file to start and stop the exchange services every night, when the services restart the logs get flushed.

The LAT lets the ISA server know which IP Addresses are local to the LAN so it will not apply packet filters against these computers. Make sure to only have the LAT include those addresses that you want inside the firewall.

I would recommend Veritas Backup Exec, the off the shelf package does not come with the Exchange component necessary for a brick level backup. I have used a variety of backup softwares and by far Backup Exec is the best and friendlies to work with.
