    You must have an old version of Smartstart. Version 5.3 is the latest.

    What model Armada is it. Does it support XP. Have you downloaded the latest Softpaq for XP to match you machine. Did you do an upgrade or fresh install....to many unknowns to make any real contributions.

    Provided the Disk has the same physical properties you have no problem. The disk can be bigger but CANNOT be smaller than the smallest physical disk in the Array. It does not matter what partitions are on the new disk. Cheers

    Go to Intels site and they have a DOS prog that will identify the CPU ID's. Make sure the lowest ID is the first processor.

    You must run the SCU....(system configuration Utility) If the OS is a new install you must run Smartstart. If you have just added the new CPU AND installed the system partion then you can use that...ie( press F10 ). Also make sure the CPU with the lowest ID is the first physically installed CPU.
