Hey Guys I have a similar problem.
I am running a w2k server with an analogue link out to a cisco router via 2 analogue modems and and a leased line.
The modems connect.
They w2k machine closes the connection after 60 seconds with an error that reads the remote device is out of order.

hey one question do you have a Leased Line or a dun Connection.
If dun then host it at your ISP
If Leased Line then setup IIS or get a web hosting app like proxy plus that has a build in web server.
Oh and you will still need a static IP address form you Service Provider

I had a similar problem but with different devices.
Check the ptoxy server settings on the browser and make suere that there is nothing selected. Make sure that do automatically detect settings is not ticled as well.
