Use a Computer Headset With NBX V3000?

To somewhat answer my own question... http://www.teledynamic.com/vps/ps/ps013.html At the bottom it talks about the NBX PCXSET. This is a software application that runs on your computer and acts as a phone. Seems interesting enough. I've ordered a headset for my computer and will be testing...

Use a Computer Headset With NBX V3000?

Hi – I’m wondering if it’s possible to run what might be called a “virtual” or a “software” phone with the NBX. Ideally I would like to use one headset for listening to music, for talking on the phone, and in a near future for commanding my Windows Vista operating system. It seems to make so...

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

Well two days and counting and I have yet to see SQL Server restart. Will keep an update in this thread! Many thanks Denny! I think your insight on my oversight was right on. At least I'm hoping it stays this way! Andrew

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

Thanks Denny, I just installed SP3a and everything seems okay. This usually takes a few hours before crashing, so I'm going to give the server a little room to see if it's stable with the service pack. Andrew

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

You could be right!? I installed from the CD, but do think I might have forgotten to put the Service Pack 3a after installation. SQL Server Properties: Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT - 5.2 (3790) Product Version: 8.00.194 (RTM) Does that version indicate I forgot to install SP3a? Andrew

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

The results are as follows... (Note 'a1logs' is from A1Monitor, my server monitoring software that restarts the server if the website stops responding and 'BlueDragon' is my ColdFusion application server. They both should be there and seem to be running fine - outside of this SQL Server...

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

No it has it's own account set up named SQLService. When I look at it in Services, it's "Log On As" field is set as ".\SQLService". The SQLService user is a member of Administrators and of Users.

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

When I look in C:\WINDOWS\system32\config I see a few files, but nothing that really helps me out a whole lot! There are a bunch of files, and many can't be opened because someone else is using them (I assume at the system level or Event Viewer itself.) Any guidance with this? As for...

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

Sorry, I guess I should have said that at first. It's Windows 2003 Standard with SQL 2000 with SP3a. I'm not quite savvy enough to know exactly what the "patch level" is.

SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception

Lately my SQL Server has been giving me these errors (Found in the Event Viewer under Application): --- 17310 : SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 3412 generated fatal exception c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server is terminating this process. --- And right afterwards (within a second...

Getting Paid Windows 2003 Clustering Advise

Okay, seems nobody has any interest. We're willing to pay $100 an hour to someone that has hands-on experience. Please refer this to friends you might know that might be able to help us out. Offer stands for the next few days only. We're trying to move quickly on this. Thanks, Andrew

Getting Paid Windows 2003 Clustering Advise

Hey all. I would ask you guys, but it seems I have a hundred questions ;) I'm looking for paid Windows 2003 Clustering advise. We're willing to pay on an hourly basis and probably only need a few hours consultation. I've tried Ingenio, but they don't really have anyone listed that knows...

Getting A Domain From A URL

Hey all. I have a list of URLs and need to get the domain (something.com, one.co.uk, etc.net) from that URL but am having a tricky time because there is an ever growing list of available extensions. It also complicates things having extensions with more then 1 dot like ".co.uk". It also...

Opening "Databases" Folder In Enterprise Manager

Thanks, that sounds like it would work, unfortunately I'm not the administrator and I highly doubt my ISP will make that sort of change for me. Its strange that my access is restricted to all databases except mine, yet I can still see all of the other databases. Hmmmmm. Andrew

Opening "Databases" Folder In Enterprise Manager

Hi all. Every time I connect to my web host's SQL server I can connect and do everything quite quickly. However, when I initially open the "Databases" folder it takes upwards of an hour before all databases are displayed in EM. (Simply freezing EM while it downloads all this data.)...

    Put Full-Text into RamDiskNT drive?

Hey all. I'm trying to speed up a search I'm running with about 400,000 records. The full text catalog is about 140 MB in size and takes up to 4 or 5 seconds to process most searches. So I'm trying to put the full text catalog into a RamDrive called RamDiskNT by CenaTek to speed up the...

Good info on Full Text Indexing and Searching

Hi all, I'm currently using Full Text Indexing for some moderate searches right now (around 50,000 records). I'm wondering if there are any good resources on the Internet or books I can buy that have loads of information on building an extremely robust search engine? I'm looking into this...

    SQL License?

I do have a related question... Does it matter what version of licensing I get for the server OS? I already know I will need to buy Per Processor licensing for SQL Server because of the Internet users stipulation that tlbroadbent brought up above. I also understand that to use SQL Server...

Money Datatype - Four Decimal Places...

It is really annoying that the money and smallmoney datatypes store four decimal places. Is there an easy way to only have it store two decimal places? Currently I'm converting the datatype every time I use it because my applications only use and need two decimal places (like most everyday...
