At one time, a vendor told us we needed to clear all the messages in a mailbox prior to deleting it. Apparently, messages remained on the hard drive and could cause corruption.
Is this still an issue?

Thank you, DFKSydney. That's what we're going to do. We just hoped there was something we could do at the station level, since this department has a high level of turn-over and the next person may not want it set up like this.

We have received the following request (yes, we realize this is lousy customer service, but our higher-ups are pushing us to fulfill this request).
* External caller dials published DN ---> call is forwarded immediately to voicemail
* Internal caller dials the same published DN ---> call rings...
There can be LD cost savings if you have LD costs between company sites, or if LD calls are routed to a host site with dedicated LD trunks.
There are some disadvantages with VoIP from the standpoint that many, if not most, data techs and engineers don't understand voice, and the reverse is true...
I am interested in this as well. I have yet to find a way to have specific DNs ring differently. It's frustrating to have a customer go from a key system to a PBX and not have a simple feature, like this.
One of my customers wants their intercom calls to have a different ringtone/cadence from their regular incoming calls. They are using i1140e IP phones on a CS1000M, release 7.0. I don't know of any way to make this happen.

Centrex PRI is commonly referred to as a DFI - Digital Facility Interface. The CO end of the PRI terminates in the Centrex common block via D1E1X facilities. This configuration is not uncommon for large government customers.
