    Accelar 1200 PCMCIA cards

Anybody know offhand if the Accelar 1200 and AN/ARN PCMCIA cards are interchangeable? I have a bunch of AN/ARN cards and a couple of Accelar 1200's with no PCMCIA cards. Seems like a match made in heaven, but I don't really want to pop one in and "hope it works". TIA, Derek

configuring MRTG to monitor switch ports

The other thing you can do with inactive ports is just un-comment the appropriate text from the config file. MRTG will then poll the ports, active or not, but you won't see any data unless the port is actually active.

Windows95 Browsing To A IP Routed Sited

I'm going to take a wild guess that you're not a MILNET site and using the 128.0.0.0/8 address space as if it were RFC1918 space (I've now worked for 2 companies that decided that it was 'good enough to be non-routable', so I can see it happening elsewhere), connecting the second site and not...

Configuring VLAN on Catalyst 2948G L3

IIRC, the 2948G-L3 is pretty much the same as the 4232-L3 module for the Catalyst 4000 series. Here's some config from a 4232 that may help with your questions: interface Port-channel1 no ip address no ip redirects no ip directed-broadcast hold-queue 300 in ! interface Port-channel1.1...

    DHCP and Vlans

If you have a router (or RSM in a 5500/6500, etc) with an interface on each VLAN, adding the command 'ip helper-address a.b.c.d' on every interface you need DHCP on besides the one the DHCP server resides on will do the trick. a.b.c.d is the IP address of your DHCP server. This will forward...

Lots of Bandwidth but Data is bogged down...

I'm going to plug my favorite WAN analyzer here... it's ungodly expensive, but worth every penny: Emcom Net/QC. Plug one of these probes into your T1 interfaces, F/R, whatever and you will get *the* most detailed and accurate real time and historical reporting you could imagine. You most...

Can You Encapsulate Dot1q on a 1605 Router???

IIRC, you need a Fast/Gig Ethernet port to do dot1q or ISL.

can't get routing between port based VLANS on accelar1200

I'm having a similar problem on an Accelar 1100 I just picked up. I'm pretty new to Bay switches, so pardon the potentially stupid questions :) I have IP forwarding turned on, OSPF enabled globally and on VLANs 1 & 16. Each VLAN is in area 0.0.0.0. It will not route packets between VLANs...
