Can You Encapsulate Dot1q on a 1605 Router???

We have an older 1600 Cisco router. I am trying to encapsulate dot1q on a sub-interface (e0). Does this model even support this??? If not what is the bottom line model that does??

IIRC, you need a Fast/Gig Ethernet port to do dot1q or ISL.

Just as a FYI- I was *told* but have not tried it yet, that you can do 802.1Q on a 10 1/2 port on a 2610 type of router. If anyone is feeling bored this weekend, that might be an interesting test to try

what IOS do you have?

for 802.1Q you need IP Plus..

That could be my problem, I flash it with IP only, I think the update I used only came in that form. Are you sure the 1600 model supports dot1q on subinterfaces???
