    Service affecting is only when you are upgrading the MGP. Ten minutes? Wow what upgrade are you doing? It takes twenty minutes just for the upgrade to load then reboot. Then you need to update all modules.

    8500 two and a half hours to upgrade software and media modules. Could be more if you have more than one server. 8300 ditto.

    Its good until you have a problem that they cant fix. Avaya wont know you are a customer, Time and Material charges will apply because you would be using a non supported Avaya vendor.

    Make sure you set your data sets to 2 or more. Try to make an back up manually first make sure it works through the web page.

    TLI is no longer a business partner for Avaya. Try to look them up in at www.avaya.com to confirm. Avaya dropped them around two years ago.

    R7 has an internal backup in the processor. Cost effective for someone who doesnt want to buy the remote card. R7 has multiple new features that work quite well. Read your documentation.
