How to check if the system is running a maintenance routine

TODR says 00, so I guess that is midnight, so I'm guessing it would be safe to flip the switch on the power supply at any point, when there are no active calls...please correct me if I'm wrong.

How to check if the system is running a maintenance routine

I need to replace the battery backup unit on my Nortel Option 11 rack. I was told that before powering the system down, I should call our local vendor, have them dial in to make sure the system isn't running any maintenance routines that may get disrupted and cause data corruption. I know how to...

Incoming call doesn't ring on a 500 set (Fax line)

islefan - interesting you should mention the power supply. I dead power supply a year or so ago and picked up replacement on Ebay. I wonder if it's defective. Everything else works ok though... It is a slide-out module. I have a spare too... might try replacing it.

Incoming call doesn't ring on a 500 set (Fax line)

Yeah, I tried it in another location too. I tried using different TN, different DN, different jack, and different set... nothing seems to help.

Incoming call doesn't ring on a 500 set (Fax line)

I created a new 500 set on a different TN and assigned a different number. It did the same thing, so I'm thinking it has to be the entire analog card that's acting goofy... Thanks very much for your advice!

Incoming call doesn't ring on a 500 set (Fax line)

I may have a spare analog card, but I'm not sure how complicated it is rebuilding stuff. At this point it's not crucial, since I had a standalone line that I moved the fax to, but I just wanted to know for future reference, in case we need another fax line and have to put it through the PBX.

Nope... phone does the same thing. Thanks!

Incoming call doesn't ring on a 500 set (Fax line)

I have an Option 11 system, and for some reason, inbound calls on a fax line aren't ringing anymore, so the fax machine can't receive a fax. If I know when the call is coming in, I can manually start the fax to receive, or answer a voice call on that line, so the line itself is fine, but there...

PBX or Telco? Help with dial tone after completing the number

Hmm... that seems to affect everyone. Any chance you might be able to explain what exactly CLID is or how I check it? Thanks!

PBX or Telco? Help with dial tone after completing the number

Greetings, I have an Option 11 PBX and experiencing an intermittent issue with dial tone popping up immediately after completing the last digit when dialing a number (using 2008 and 2616 units). As soon as the last digit is pressed, it just goes back to dial tone instead of connecting...
