Hi, I want to set up NFS sharing between an Openserver 6 and a Windows2000 server PC. I read that the Unix machine must be in state 3 and the NFS sharind dows woek, in that state, my automatic tasks,like daily backup and shutdown do not work. Is it that I have to reinstall all the applications...

Here is an odd one. Every time that our server is restarted, the time is changed by 1 hour. I'm located in Puerto Rico which is GMT -4:00. I've tried EST and AST but the problem continues. Anyone has any ideas as to the cause? Juan Navarrete

Hey, the time went down to 4 seconds. How migh the rename affect the rest of the system since it appears to be a file to resolve up addresses?

Thanks for your response, actually, I'm talking seconds. It takes 40 secods from the time the connection is established to the moment I get the login prompt. I would say that this is way too long. What do you think?

I have noticed that opoenserver 6 takes a lot more time to present the login for a ftp connection from another machine; longer than sco 5.0.7. Does anyone know why? Is there a way to tweak it to be faster? Any help would be appreciated Juan Navarrete

I've used mozilla on the unix server and Explorer 7 on my pc with same results. Should I try to connect to the ftp site using ftp to ensure a binary download?

When you use sum -r on a downloaded file you get two set of numbers. What is the meaning of each set? Why is ite that the 1st set does not usually match the checksum on the original but the 2nd one does?

When I instaled an openserver 5.0.7 years ago, I found an article on how to change ctrl-backspace to ctrl-c to break execution. I can't remember how it is done and I'd like to do it in openserver 6. Any knowledge about this?
