I believe those are attachments that you aren't allowing thru right?
I haven't found a way to stop the users from getting them.

Oh by the way that rule was looking for the word purchase not junk.
I created a new rule that looks for word junk in the from so to test it:
Rule : ^((?i)From):\s(?i).*purchase
String : From: Mystery Classics [ADV@4EPURCHASE.COM]
and GO. It tells you if the spam will get caught or not.
Does the txt file start with ATT#####.txt?

I set ours up so that if someone is on a RBL list and one of the rules apply the email gets block.
If I setup a rule that I know for sure that only thing that it will block is Spam then I set the rule weight over the threshold.

I had my network scanned externaly and open relay is the only real problem that the scan decovered.
We may have to look at consulting because we are so new to exchange 2000 which is totally different than 5.5.

OK I lied we are a open relay. Man I could have sworn that I checked everything. I'm looking into blocking.

I went thru this tutorial and checked.
I checked to make sure that NAV of exchange wasn't trying to send anything out. Here is one trying to get out. From postmaster@mydomain.com.

I had to uncheck the option to autoblock source of packets not handled. There were emails in my exchange server queue for two different domains. I read the helpful tip and unchecked it to see if that was the problem. It allowed the emails to get out.
