Slow/Hang when accessing network files
I've been having the same issue only I have two identical xp machines. One runs fine the other is rediculously slow. I've tried every thing anyone can think of. The only other thing I can think of is the fact that the xp machine that runs slow has sp1 and the one the works fine does not...- eihtbalroln

Networking question
Check the settings on the d-link router. If possible use it as your dhcp server and set the workstations to automatically obtain an ip. I heard of a similar issue with a linksys router the fix was supposedly to install netbuei. I don't know just giving you ideas. I have less than nice things...- eihtbalroln

browsing network drives is slow
I'm having relatively the same issue on two identical (software and hardware) xp machines in an office. One browses great on the network and the other is rediculously slow. I've tried just about every thing out there and to no avail. The only difference between the two is that the slow one...- eihtbalroln
