Do you know if your system has a VAU module? You can view the system numbering plan through a display telephone logged in to system programming. The computer based programming was command line, connected to serial port, very klunky. Have you looked for ancient NEC techs in your area?
Are you pressing hold and immediately pressing another line key? Try releasing (depress switch hook ) before pressing the next line key. I believe there is a way to change the hold key function, I will dig through my UX5000 docs. BTW do you know where I might get the newest release of NEC PC Pro...
It sounds like you have 2 separate issues. What is the service for trunks? Just pinging IP addresses doesn't mean much, I would assume that the Public IP addresses all changed with a new carrier. Did all your sites cut over to Charter?
