Ok, Here's the situation....
We have about 100 servers in our primary farm. Of these servers we have subsets of servers of course that host particular "Bundles" as we call them of software.
In our Development farm we like to replicate the bundles to specific development servers for...
We have a very odd thing happening in our farm, perhaps some of you have seen this and know a way to clean it up.
We have a very large farm (>70 servers)all FR3, all recent current, up to date, etc...
Here's the deal... When Printer drivers are intruduced to any server in the farm manually...
I have a bit of an issue perhaps some of you out there can help:
I need to copy a directory from my workstation to a file cluster, the catch is, I need to retain the current time/datestamp data while doing so. Before you say it.. I have already looked at Xcopy, Robocopy, Move, and even The OS...
Has anyone had this issue before?
Random users have been having an issue with their Outlook 2000 reminders running on Metaframe XPe FR2. They get the calendar items, in the appropriate time zone, however, the popup reminder never comes as scheduled.
We have wiped out and recreated their...
Thanks Mike...
I was kind of hoping to not have to walk around the entire site with a laptop, as I have lots of ground to cover. I was hoping there might be an inexpensive (and light) handheld unit that I could walk around and get specific readings in specific locations confirmed. (I am going...
Can anyone here recommend a decent handheld RF signal meter to determine broadcast feasibility and signal strength?
Hoping to find something uder $200 bucks prefferably.
No rest for the Wicked.
Usually ODBC connections are static, meaning they don't change that often. 8 servers is a fairly small task, but you can export a copy of the ODBCX settings keye in the registry, then use that to update the other servers either automatically or manually.
the key to export is HKLM\Software\ODBC...
Has anyone had any issues with their Metaframe 1.8 environment with this latest Microsoft update? I am about to implement globally, but wondered if anyone else has yet and has had any unusual issues or problems..
It works fine so far in my development farm

You may need to set the permissions on that particular key to allow the users read access at least, as well as the system (application)

Has anyone had this problem?
I open up explorer, and close it using the "X" top right, and for some reason iexplore.exe stays resident in memory and is holding anywhere from 23 to 30MB. Eventually, I cannot open another IE window until I kill that process. Once I kill it, everything...
Sorry for the short reply last night, was getting a little sleepy. You may want to look into E-Policy Orchestrator for such a distribution mechanism. If you must stick with Trend, I don't beleiee there is an easy way to disable individual components in IIS, it's pretty much all or nothing...
Rebuild em. Sounds like the time and effort you have spent troubleshooting this one at this point could now have easily rebuilt Win2K Adv. server and reinstalled metaframe. That's usually my policy after 6-8 straight hours of troubleshooting, rebuild it. As a DC's they should not have much in...
See what I mean? Like the wicked witch of the west on crack.. ;) Glad to hear it's doing better.. Do recommend to your management more than one profile server, even if its just a variety of workstations, it would be far better than one central point of failure or bottleneck. Imagine if all...
