I am trying to help somebody who has a Worm on there machine and can't run any programs. We want to get the ACT data (ACT 2000) of the machine but can't run the Backup/Restore program from within ACT- Are there any folders that I can backup directly. I have never done anything with ACT before...

I have tried copying vfp5.dll and vfp500.dll from two different systems to both the application folder on the target system and the WINNT\SYSTEM folder on the target system and still no luck. I am about ready to give up and upgrade. Thanks, Jean

CONFIG.FPW had no path to .TMP files but I did add the statements: TMPFILES = C:EDITWORK = C:SORTWORK = C: and still got VISUAL FOXPRO CANNOT START. COULD NOT LOAD RESOURCES..PRESS F1 FOR HELP Thanks, Jean

Upgrade from 5.0 is still available through some distributors but not Amazon as they only list 7.0 and show it as a discontinued item. Maybe they know something we don't know. :-) Thanks for the Win 98 info - I was hoping that would be the case. Jean

Some questions about upgrading from 5.0 to 8.0. We have a simple application in 5.0. The only problem we have is that the run-time distibution of the application does not work on some of the machines and have never been able to figure out why - get a Unable to Load Resource File error message...

One more question on this piece of code - The program asks for the location of the Notes Database - not being real familiar with Notes I tried using the dns address that I was given to install the Notes client on my machine. That doesn't seem to work. Does anybody know what I should be looking...

I have a VFP app that is running Email using MAPI objects. What do I have to do to get to run using Lotus Notes mail. I tried just running it on a PC and it attempted to open a Outlook Profile Window instead. How do I set the default Email away from Outlook to Notes instead. Thanks Jean

I exported a table from SQL Server to Access and the Export Utility took one of the Columns and defined it as a Integer Replica ID. I can not either paste data from this column nor export the table to Excel. Anyway to get around this. Thanks, Jean
